Ooooh. Erin Brockovich.
August 5, 2008
I don’t know if you care or not, but I read a news release today stating that activist Erin Brockovich has the keynote address at this week’s South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association convention in Hilton Head.
NOTE: If you want to see what she looks like with a face, click HERE. She’s less unappealing than you might think.
Anyway, after I finished reading the release, there was a great line that read, “Press are asked to check in at the media registration desk and should note that neither Mrs. Brockovich nor her personnel may be recorded, broadcast, televised, filmed, photographed or webcast during the convention.”
To loosely translate, that means, “We want you to come, but we don’t want you to document what’s going on in case it could be used against us later unless of course you want to pay for an autograph or picture because that would be OK. Everyone has a price — even altruistic activists.”
